It was the first institution of higher education to be\nfounded by a Chinese person. Fudan implemented a new model of continuous\ngeneral education throughout the entire undergraduate studies and a talent\ncultivation system that accentuates innovation ability and inquiry skills.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There are 13,623 undergraduate students,\n22610 graduate students. And there are more than 3000 international students\nfrom over 100 countries study with Fudan\u2019s International Cultural Exchange\nSchool \u201cmini United Union\u201d every year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>International Cultural Exchange School, ICES, is the institution specialized in providing Chinese language and culture programs for international students in Fudan University. ICES has a pride history of more than 50 years of excellent international education since 1960\u2019s. ICES has a remarkable faculty with various academic background ranging from literature, linguistics, culture study, history, philosophy to economy, management and international relations. ICES is home of 7 Confucius Institutes around the world and is appointed to be one of the first four bases of Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages in China. They accept international students for long term and short term language programs, general advanced and other tailor-made programs. ICES also provide degree programs for undergraduates majoring in Chinese Language &amp; Culture and Business Chinese, and for Master es majoring in Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages. ICES programs will help you achieve multicultural understanding, establish a global vision, and get connected with peers from around the world. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Programs:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>SUMMER CHINESE LANGUAGE SCI PROGRAM<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>SUMMER CHINESE SCI Program is designed for\nthe international students who want to learn Chinese language and get an\ninsight into Chinese culture and people\u2019s lives in China. The program allows\nstudents to enhance Chinese proficiency rapidly and get a unique and rich\nexperience of Chinese society, custom and colorful culture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>PROFESSIONAL CHINESE BUSINESS IMMERSION, PCI PROGRAM <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Professional Chinese Business Internship\nProgram is designed for the international students who want to get an insight\ninto the business environment and industries development in China. The program\nallows students to get an insight into Chinese business culture and custom,\npolicies, commercial law and regulations and how successful local and foreign\nbusinesses conduct themselves and prosper through special designed Chinese\ncourses, business courses, mobile classroom, business internship practice.\nStudents will be well equipped with language and business ability for future\ncareer development in China.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>LONG TERM CHINESE LANGUAGE PROGRAM <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>ICES adopts an unique model of instruction\nwhich has altogether 10 levels in Chinese learning, 4 levels (ABCD levels) in\nFundamental, 4 levels (EFGH) in Intermediate and 2 levels (IJ) in Advanced.\nEach level takes about 9 weeks, students can finish 2 levels each semester in\nhalf a year. Students will get into appropriate levels according to the results\nof online placement test on arrival. ICES\u2019s professional and experienced\nteaching staff ensure the most efficient teaching and learning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>CHINESE ECONOMY &amp; BUSINESS PROGRAM (Instructed in Chinese) <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Chinese Economy &amp; Business Program is\ndesigned for the students with intermediate or higher Chinese level, who want\nto get an insight into the business environment and condition in China. ICES\u2019s\nprofessional and experienced teaching staff ensure the most efficient teaching\nand learning. The program allows students to get an insight into how successful\nlocal and foreign businesses conduct themselves and prosper. Students will be\nequipped for future business in China.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>CHINESE CULTURE &amp; SOCIETY, CCS PROGRAM (Instructed in Chinese) <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Chinese Culture &amp; Society Programs,\nCCSP, is designed for the students with intermediate or higher Chinese level,\nwho want to learn Chinese culture and experience Chinese society in China.\nICES\u2019s professional and experienced teaching staff ensure the most efficient\nteaching and learning.
